This study examines the effect of push notification content and frequency on user engagement in a self-monitoring app. The findings suggest that push notifications with tailored suggestions were more effective overall in encouraging self-monitoring. However, among frequent app users, push notifications containing insights were associated with greater self-monitoring. People who were not using the app as frequently were less likely to respond to a prompt. The study highlights the importance of considering the content of push notifications and user behavior when designing strategies to promote engagement with self-monitoring apps.

jQuery 4.0.0 BETA!

jQuery 4.0.0 BETA is now ready for release and includes several updates and changes. Support for IE<11 has been removed, and support for IE 10 and older has also been dropped. Deprecated APIs have been removed, and the order of events has been changed. The source code has been migrated to ES modules, and the slim build has become even smaller. The release is available on npm and Bower, and users can choose between the regular or slim version of jQuery.
